“Die umkämpfte Republik Österreich 1918—1938” is the first of a series of special exhibitions in Haus der Geschichte (Museum Niederösterreich). It is dedicated to the time between the World Wars – from the founding of the First Republic in 1918 to the “Anschluss” in 1938. Visitors see a compellingly staged show on 550 m² exhibition space, that covers the spectrum from the domestic policy, the economic and social conditions through to the foreign policy of the times.
