Gloss Drop is a wild hand-lettered typeface with spontaneous dynamics and lively, almost hyperactive expression. The letters sit everywhere, but definitely not on any baseline. Extreme thick/thin contrasts attract the viewer's attention, often on the edge of legibility. As a completely free spirit, Gloss Drop is used in creative fields such as music, fashion and magazine culture.

In keeping with the rhythm of real handwriting, some but not all letters connect within a word. Positional Open Type features manage the selection of initial and final forms neighboring a gap automatically and select the corresponding medial or isolated forms. With this and a variety of ligatures, it comes pretty close to what you can usually achieve with ink, brush and paper.
